Preface

Based on the literature reviewed so far, it can be said that no ones has yet created a nexus between Maqasid al- Shariah and Socio economic development predictors. The book take a step to explore the possible links between five element of Maqasid al-Shariah classified by Imam Al Gazhali and numerous variables of Socio economics develpment predictors. Study's main contribution lies in translating of Maqasih al-Shariah from the theoretical level down to the operational level. It develops a comprehensive list of the variables based on Al-Maqashid al-Shariah for the welfare of human beings to use in alocating their investible resources to vital sectors of the economy.
