Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and also to know how real economic impact for people and society in Blora, Central Java with existence of activity of oil exploration in Blok Cepu. This research will explain and describe society involvement process at activity of oil mining. It also analyzes strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities had by Blora with exitence of activity of oil exploration in Blok Cepu. The method of data collecting conducted with circumstantial interview and structured interview to governmental, legislative, society and Blok Cepu operator By using analysis of SWOT the result of this research indicates that, economic impact of existence of activity of oil exploration is impact that having the character of indirectly. This matter becawse of oil industry is high technological. However the government of Blora has some strategies that resulted from SWOT analysis which can be used to prepare creative program for the society empowerment.
