ABSTRACT Decline in Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) to be one of the Millenium Development Goal’s (MDG’s) by 2015. Implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding immediately after birth is one of startegies to achieve those goals. Let the baby find the breast nipple mother shortly after birth proved capable of contributing to the reduction of infant mortality and beneficial for babies. Achieving implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low. Accordding to WHO (2007), Indonesia has reached 3,7% in achieving the successful implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding. Health Research Data Base in 2010 mentions the implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding shortly after birth in Indonesia reached 29,3%. This fact indicates not optimal execution Early Initation of Breastfeeding in Indonesia. Many factors affect the implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding, such as the role of the type of delivery through the mother when giving birth. The procedure remains committed health workers to mothers who either normal delivery or a Caesarean gives an important role to the success of the implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding shortly after birth. That indicated, the role of the type of labor on the implementation of Early Initation of Breastfeeding importance recognized by all parties, including the mother and family to support the success of its implementation.
